August 2009 Monthly Meeting
Chas Fagan: Oil Landscape Painting Demo Tuesday, August 25th, 7:00pm - 9:00pm Open to the Public
Chas Fagan, a self-taught artist, has been creating nationally recognized works of art for almost 20 years. His recent work includes a life-size portrait of Barbara Bush that is on display in the White House.
Having grown up in Brussels, Mr. Fagen was artistically influenced by the works of great European masters. This interest in traditional art, coupled with his incomparable skill in form and color, fuels his distinctively elegant style.
Chas Fagan's landscapes and still lifes showcase dramatic mood and color. His subject matter varies from intimate scenes to sweeping vistas. His work has been on exhibit at Shain Gallery in Charlotte, NC; Metropolitan Gallery in Washington, DC; and Somerville Manning Gallery in Greenville, DE.
