Classes and Workshops

Mint Hill Arts offers a full curriculum of classes for adults and children in oils, watercolor, drawing, jewelry, weaving, and more. Supply lists will be provided by the instructor unless otherwise noted.

Pottery/Clay


Wheelwork - Beginner to Advanced
by Sylvia Coppola
Beginning students learn to center clay, wedge and pull up pots. Advanced studients work on form, function, decoration and glazing.


Hand-building with Clay
by Sylvia Coppola
Create texture on slabs, then transform them into mugs, vases, etc. Work will be glazed and fired at Mint Hill Arts.

Emulsion Transfer

Using Polaroid positives and water bath trays, transfer emulsion images onto watercolor paper.

Using Polaroid negatives, transfer the image in dyes onto watercolor paper.


Handmade Paper and Artisan Book Making

Registration deadline is one (1) week before start of class.


Supply lists, if necessary, will be provided by email.

 

Deadline for refunds is 2 weeks before start of class unless the class is cancelled by MHA, in which case all payments are refunded.

 

Classes are subject to date changes or cancellation if minimum number of students is not met.
