Learn how to paint with acrylics and oils on the same canvas to shorten the time it takes to create a finished oil painting and bring depth and dimension to your work.

Learn to Draw in 15 Minutes, Practice for a Lifetime by Carlos Alvarez Cotera
Drawing without the use of tracing, grids, light boxes or projections.

Pottery/Clay

Wheelwork - Beginner to Advanced by Sylvia Coppola
Beginning students learn to center clay, wedge and pull up pots. Advanced studients work on form, function, decoration and glazing.

Hand-building with Clay by Sylvia Coppola
Create texture on slabs, then transform them into mugs, vases, etc. Work will be glazed and fired at Mint Hill Arts.

Mixed Media

Emulsion Transfer by Shirley Harris
Using Polaroid positives and water bath trays, transfer emulsion images onto watercolor paper.

Image Transfer by Shirley Harris
Using Polaroid negatives, transfer the image in dyes onto watercolor paper.

Handmade Paper and Artisan Book Making by Debra Aase Farnum
Learn the process of paper-making from Thai and Philippine bark fibers and the art of Japanese book-binding to create artisan books.
